Nah sebelumnya apakah Anda tahu apakah itu lynx? Jika titinjau dari sudut fungsinya lynx adalah salah satu standar text browser dan harus dimiliki oleh para web designer untuk memeriksa asesibilitas web yang mereka buat. Walaupun banyak alternatif lain lynx adalah pilihan utama untuk browser berbasis text. Jadi pada intinya lynx adalah alat (tool) yang dapat dijadikan alternatif web browser berbasis text yang dapat berjalan di terminal (linux) dan command prompt (windows).

Karena hanya dapat menampilkan teks dan link Lynx tidaklah berkembang pesat layaknya web browser yang memiliki tampilan GUI (Graphical user interface) seperti Google Chrome, Mozilla dan lain-lain. Cara Menggunakan Lynx Browser di Linux

1. Setelah melakukan proses instalasi seperti langkah-langkah diatas Anda dapat menggunakan perintah lynx "url situs" (tanpa tanda petik), misal seperti gambar berikut

2. Jika ada konfirmasi penggunaan cookie tekan tombol 'y' saja (terus tekan 'y' jika masih muncul)

3. Jika berhasil terakses maka tampilannya seperti gambar homepage facebook dan google diatas.

Cara Install PowerISO pada sistem operasi LINUX

1. Pertama download PowerISO, boleh menggunakan web browser atau terminal linux
==>Melalui web browser dengan cara mengakses link pada website resminya berikut:

wget -O poweriso-1.3.tar.gz http://www.poweriso.com/poweriso-1.3.tar.gz
jika download berhasil akan tampak seperti gambar berikut 

2. Ekstrak file PowerISO yang telah didownload tadi dengan cara masuk pada direktori dimana file tersebut tersimpan melalui terminal, seperti gambar berikut.

Esktrak PowerISO dengan perintah: sudo tar -xzvf poweriso-1.3.tar.gz

3. Pindahkan hasil ekstrak tadi ke direktori: /usr/local/bin

Perintah terminal: mv poweriso /usr/local/bin

4. Masuk pada directori /usr/local/bin dengan cara cd /usr/local/bin

5. Kemudian berikan hak akses pada poweriso dengan perintah berikut: 

    command: chmod +x poweriso

6. Sekarang PowerISO dapat dijalankan melalui terminal dengan perintah: poweriso

Gunakan: poweriso -? untuk mengetahui petunjuk penggunaan.
